Pentosin is an ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 14001:2004 certified manufacturer.
ISO/TS 16949 was developed by The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) together with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO/TS 16949 is an ISO Technical Specification, which aligns existing US, German, French, and Italian automotive quality system standards within the global automotive industry. The latest version is based on ISO 9001 quality management system but with an even greater emphasis on process management. Basically, ISO/TS 16949 contains the full requirements of ISO 9001 - and then some.
ISO/TS 16949 defines the quality system requirements for the design and development, production, installation, and servicing of automotive related products. This version of standardization focuses on the development of a quality management system that is dedicated to continual improvement, defect prevention, and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.
ISO/TS 16949 also requires organizations to provide a clear definition of processes, a measurable dedication to customer satisfaction, and an ongoing analysis of customer needs.
This certification is applicable to all sites of the organization where customer-specified parts for production and/or service are manufactured.
Pentosin has also achieved ISO 14001 certification. ISO 14001 outlines the generic requirements for an environmental management system. ISO 14001 provides the framework for a strategic approach to the organization's environmental policy, actions, and future plans.
ISO 14001 requires an organization to take a serious look at its environmental impact. This certification is a tool used by management to identify and control the environmental impact of the organization's activities, products, or services. This certification also requires an organization to continually improve its environmental performance, implement a systematic approach to setting their environmental objectives, and demonstrate that these goals have been achieved.
Beside ISO 14001, Pentosin has also achieved ISO / IEC 17025. ISO/IEC 17025 is the main ISO standard which is used by testing and calibration laboratories. ISO/IEC 17025 is in most countries the standard for which most labs must hold accreditation in order to be deemed as technically competent.
Customers can count on the fact that Deutsche Pentosin-Werke GmbH has manufactured the complete line of Pentosin technical fluids within these guidelines and requirements. But certification is not a lifetime award, re-certification occurs every year. So keeping a focus on quality is top of mind for everyone at Pentosin, year in and year out.
